Staff Bios

Amy Parker is originally from Chesapeake, VA and began her dance training at the Academie de Ballet. She studied briefly at the Virginia Ballet Theatre and Universal Ballet Academy summer intensive in Washington DC. Amy wasaccepted into the Ballet Magnificat! Trainee Program in 2007 and graduated in May of 2009. In fall 2009 she joined Light of the World Ballet as a pre-apprentice and was promoted to company member in January of 2010. During her time with LWB Amy had the opportunity to dance in several nations including the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Peru, Israel, and the USA. Amy has taught ballet for many organizations such as Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts, Light of the World Ballet, Say Yes To Education, and others. In 2013 Amy traveled with Arrows International to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Shortly after, she spent one year in La Lima, Honduras assisting in the establishment of a dance department for the Escuela de Artes through Ballet Magnificat! International Outreach. Most recently she spent a season of volunteering with Eternal Family Project in Los Naranjos, Honduras, teaching dance and school. Amy currently resides in Oklahoma where she is the Director’s Assistant, Company Ballet teacher, and Company member for Arrows International. Amy is excited to continue to use dance to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ both here in the States, as well as other nations!
